Cookies & privacy

We respect your privacy. If the word “cookies” sounds strange: on websites it does not mean food—it means small notes your browser can save so pages work, remember your choices, and (only if you agree) help us see broad trends like popular pages. Below we explain what we use and how you can control it.

Change optional analytics or marketing tags any time.

What are cookies? (Simple explanation)

In everyday life, a cookie is a snack. On the internet, the word means something different: a small text file your browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.) can store when you open a website.

That file might remember that you already closed a banner, keep a donation form safer, or—only if you allow it—help us understand in general how many people visit certain pages. It is not a way for us to read private files on your device.

What we use on this site

Strictly necessary cookies keep basic features working (for example load balancing or remembering that you closed a notice). They do not exist to profile you for ads.

If you turn on Analytics, we may load tools such as Google Analytics to see aggregated traffic (which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are from). That helps us improve the site and plan communications.

If you turn on Marketing, we may load tags that help measure campaigns (for example whether an ad led someone to visit us). We only enable these when you opt in.

If you turn on Functional extras, we may use cookies that remember preferences beyond the bare minimum (for example a language choice), when those features exist on the site.

How long choices are kept

Your choices are stored in this browser using local storage until you clear site data or change settings using the cookie control on our pages.
