The Executive Launch of COME
In line with the five (5) year strategy direction of the Center for Outreach, Mentorship & Empowerment (COME), the newly constituted board led in the executive launch of the Center after about seven (7) years of piloting the COME model and concept.
The historic launch was held in the post-noon hours of Sunday, December 12, 2021, at the Fiesta Royale Hotel, Accra, Ghana.
The occasion was well graced with the presence of leaders of industries in the Private and Public Sectors; Politicians, Entrepreneurs, Civil Society, Student Leaders, the Media, and men and women with a heart for Africa and her youth.
More than a launch, the occasion was a time for Africans and the world to rethink, reimagine, reinvent and rediscover solutions that are confronting our continent and the world, especially the youth of Africa.

More than a launch, the occasion was a time for Africans and the world to rethink, reimagine, reinvent and rediscover solutions that are confronting our continent and the world, especially the youth of Africa.
The Board Chair of COME, Mr. Benjamin Agyenim-Boateng set the tone with a succinct opening address on the identity crises of Africa, that COME is galvanizing all to contribute to rediscover.
Mr. David Ofosu-Dorte, Founder & Senior Partner, AB & David Africa, delivered the key note address on Leadership and Africa’s Redevelopment. He shared some radical, inspiring, thought-provoking and insightful nuggets of wisdom on the wholistic model in handling the “African Problem of Redevelopment” which are in keeping with COME’s Vision, mission, and theory of change:
OUR VISION: An Africa where young professionals of high integrity, excel in their careers and lead initiatives of service to transform society.
OUR MISSION: To empower students and young professionals through leadership development, mentorship, research, and outreach.
The Founder, & Executive Director of COME–Godswill T.K. Mensah together with the board shared the history of COME, the exceptional successes chalked so far, and what future they envisioned for COME and the African youth and Professionals.
Solidarity messages were shared by other speakers whose organizations and constituents are key partners of COME: Mr. Benjamin Boakye, Executive Director, Africa Center for Energy Policy (ACEP) assured COME of continuous collaboration in contributing towards the equipping and empowering of Africa’s youth.
Member Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Hon. Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa, challenged COME to add a sense of activism in the implementation of its vision and mission.
Student leaders such as the president of The Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG National), Ghana Law School shared solidarity messages and promise partnering COME for student leadership development.
Gracefully, Mrs. Linda Kwafo (Executive Director of Ghana Integrity Initiative) declared the historic launch with a charge for COME to remain faithful to her ideals, while value-based and patriotic songs were rendered by The Manifest and Lordina the Soprano.
We are not just an organization but a MOVEMENT resolved in leading a CHANGE that takes away the reproach of Africa. ONE PERSON and COMMUNITY at a time, with ETERNITY IN MIND!
